Now that the weather is nice, it's time for me to start exercising outside! (Or at all... ) I'm looking for some good pump-up music to add to my workout playlist. Mostly I'll just be walking, hoping to work up to running for more than 30 seconds.
I'm totally a fan of cheesily inspirational music (that new Selena Gomez song, anyone?), but I'll try anything! Got any suggestions?
I'm a metal fan and a lot of it is very up-tempo (Lordi in particular comes to mind). I also love techno (Scooter, Sash, Groove Coverage, Eiffel 65, Aqua, Shakira, etc.)
I found I think at Sam's club - the biggest looser workout mix....I is pretty good. I really like most of the songs, and there are 2 disks one with all songs 128 beats per min, and the other disc is 125-130 bpm, its about 2 hours of music. I just mix and match to create my playlists
I LOVE GirlTalk for my workouts. He's kind of a ... super extreme DJ? He will definitely pump you up. I don't think I can post links yet, but if you google "Girl Talk," the second link is the website with the whole album - it's a free download!
It's kind of hard to describe the music - he samples literally hundreds of songs and does some mashups (really creatively ... you'll hear current hits but he might have the music from Simon and Garfunkel or the Beatles playing underneath). Check it out!
Yep, click the speaker icon on the right hand side. That should take you to an index page, and you can save the mp3 to your hard drive from there. They are all hosted legally on his website. My favorites are the Yearmixes and "History of Italo Disco" megamixes.

MidnightRaven I was just going to post the exact same suggestion! Absolutely nothing gets me going the way Girl Talk does. Especially the first two albums.
I try listening to other things when I work out (outside of working out I am not one to listen to the same album every day), but I always come back. What's sad is that I know every track by heart. When I started I used to anticipate the tempo and used it as a guide for interval training. haha
I don't have time to post all my pump you up music. But a favorite of mine is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1F3q4FlYF8 this remix of pitbull's give me everything tonight.
and this is something awesome you can use to convert any youtube video into songs and download on yer pc. http://www.loudtronix.com/ It's pretty amazing for unreleased songs or music out of print etc. Oh and FREE!

Thanks, all! I'm going to check all these suggestions out!
I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes Selena Gomez!
I didn't know Biggest Loser had mixes with a certain bpm; that's a really good idea. I have a running playlist with like maybe 5 songs that have the right beat for me to run REALLY slowly to.
