Hello everyone!
I just stumbled onto this message board this evening while I was googleing some info on TurboFire. I love message boards and hopefully this will help me stay motivated as well.
I am 31 years old, been married for almost 11 years. We share two children, a 15 year old daughter and 10 year old son. We live in SE Ohio and I am currently working part time and attending college to finish my degree in Mental Health.
I began my weight loss journey on March 14, 2011. This whole thing was my BIL's idea. We leave for vacation this coming Friday and he wanted to tone up and I obviously needed to lose weight. So we came up with some ground rules and we were off and running. I have stuck with it and he has since fallen off the wagon due to some back injury stuff.
Needless to say, I have shed 27 pounds so far and would ideally like to lose 50 more in time for Christmas.
I am currently working out 6 days a week for about 45 min-1 hour. I am also eating sensibly. I try not to surpass 1200 calories and I minimize all processed foods. I stay away from saturated fats and lots of sodium.
I would be estatic if I could lose another 3 lbs. before we leave for vacation, but I realize that may not happen.
Regardless, I'm glad to have found this community and am looking forward to supporting and being supported!
