You know what leads to gaining the weight back? Thinking you're a failure for not reaching goals on time, and then quitting entirely.
On time for what exactly? Permanent weight loss is the goal. So if you permanently lose 20 pounds by a certain date instead of 40 like you planned, then you succeeded!
In fact, if you're having trouble dealing with xx lbs by xx date, then I suggest you throw that system away entirely. How about instead you deal with goals that you can control 100%? Eat on plan for 7 days. Exercise 3 times a week. Eat all your fruits and veggies today. Drink a few more glasses of water instead of sugary drinks. Etc. Etc. Etc.
Those are all things you can DO. Not things that happen to you.
Sure, we all want to see goal, but what is so easy to forget is all the other benefits of just being healthier. Feeling lighter and fitter. Being able to do more. Having more energy. All things that can begin the very first week of weightloss. Don't ignore those successes!!!!
Always keep at it. Always work towards a new goal.
Best of wishes!
