Question Slim Fast

Anyone have any luck with it?

I have no real time to cook as im at school anywhere from 6 to 10 hours a day.

Looking at the label there are tons of vitamins inside.

My question is...is there any way I could lose a significant amount of weight, like say, 55 pounds; following a slim fast diet plan and plenty of exercise?

Please share your slim fast stories with me

Did you also notice that there are 23 grams of sugar for a servng??? Yah... i would think twice about using slim fast. You can find a protein shake that still gives you vitamins and minerals..you can also try ensure or glucerna ... i reccomend a vitamin store..they often sell a meal supplement shake called VEGA ...and its waaaaaay healthier for you..

Slim fast is not healthy..dont use it

Idon't think SlimFast is all bad. I am looking at a can right now and it list 18 grams of sugar.
If you use SlimFast in the right way it should be ok.Be sure you are eating vegies and fruits and protein. There is a SlimFast website that will give you all the info you need.
I personally keep some on hand to use for breakfast if I have run out of milk. I sometimes blend it with a banana or a few fresh strawberries to get in some fruit.

Thankyou for your input I did notice the sugar...mine say 17g as well but thats still a bit. I will look for the protein shake if I ever find time to make it out to our mall to visit the gmc store.

Yum! Adding fruit sounds delicious!

My biggest concern is time though. I dont have a blender at school, and about 5 minutes between haircuts LOL

And I hope im not hungry afterwards...that would be such a bummer as I am desperately trying to avoid that.

Looking at the website next with my fingers crossed! Thanks gals!

You might find people who've been using it under the Diet Central area.

Honestly, though, I'm not a fan of "shakes" and "bars" for meals. I like food. I want to eat food that looks like food. I want to learn how to eat real food in proper portion sizes.

I'm not saying it isn't doable for some, but it most certainly is not for me.

Best of luck with what you decide.

For a busy person such as yourself Slimfast is better than candy and chips out of the vending machine. Do you have access to a refrigerator or can you keep a Little Igloo or something like it in your car ? You could have nonfat yogurt, or sugarfree jello or sugar free pudding on hand or LaughingCow Lite Cheese. Or an aple or an orange.I am trying to think of things you can have with you at school to supplement the Slimfast.

I thought I would chip in with help. There are a lot of healthy low calorie sanwhiches you can make for yourself to bring to school. I use to brown bag it all the time. One of my friends insisted on smoothies and she would blend then freeze them. she would let them thaw for a couple of hours and drink them that way. I never tried it but its an option if you want to do shakes but have no blender.

I understand that completely...Thankyou for giving me a little something to think about. I know that this is going to work for me at the moment because I dont have time for much else, but I do want to be able to learn how to eat "real" food the right way

I agree completely...we have two vending machines full of the worst food...the only healthy option is pretzels and a girl can only see so many pretzels LOL

I never thought of the cooler idea but thats absolutely genius! We do have a fridge but for some stupid reason the girls at my school like to be swipers. Adding fresh fruit to have on hand would be alot better than hitting the vending machines.

Thankyou very much! I apperciate the great tips!

I also never thought of freezing a shake to bring with me...I could always keep it in my locker until I get hungry...and its very fast! Thankyou
