Default Hi! I'm new here too.

Just thought a community would help me do this, and back in my WW days, I came to this website a lot just to read the tips and blogs. I thought I was fat then. Snicker. I'd love to be that weight now. I've got about 60 lbs to lose. I know. It could be worse, but it is bad enough that I've started to think I can't do things that I used to do. Time to turn that around!

I'm at the end of week two, with an amazing first week. 4.5 lbs! Second week, successful but nothing to brag about. At this point, my strategy is to write everything down and to make sure I eat my fruit & veggies. Tomorrow, I'm going to add a teeny exercise piece to my action plan.

Any favorite fruit and veggie ideas? One friend suggested cucumber sprinkled with feta, and it's really yummy but I think it could use some mint or basil too.

Baby spinach with goat cheese, toasted walnuts/pecans, and half a pear. Delicious!

Hey there & Welcome back =)

I love salads. Mixed greens with feta, and a small sprinkling of dried cherries or a sliced up apple & walnuts with just a small splash of raspberry vinaigrette.

And -roasting- veggies is easy, too. Any vegetable. Chop it up. Put it in a bag with just a tsp or two of Extra Virgin Olive Oil, dash of salt & pepper. Into the over at 400 degrees for between 15 & 20 minutes (depending on the type of veggie). I use that for carrots & parsnips, zucchini & summer squash, asparagus, etc.

Both of those suggestions sound yummy!!! Tonight, I'm going to try roasting some asparagus and drizzling it with a bit of garlic & soy sauce. I was just going to roast it, but I opened a cookbook up randomly and there it was: roasted asparagus with garlic sauce.
