Smile A little bit to celebrate..

I'm fairly new here to 3FC and I've already posted my story in the intro section a week or so ago, so I wont go into all of the details here, but I do have a little bit to celebrate. I'm a type 2 diabetic and I was just at my doctors office the other day (for something not related to this), and had a random quick blood sugar test since I hadn't taken my meds in over a week (bad I know, but that's a different story). Anyway, it came up normal (and my last A1C test a little over a month ago was very good as well. My dr used the word excellent lol). Surprising since my eating habits haven't been all that great lately.

So.. my doctor decided that since I've lost 97 lbs since my highest weight, and my sugar levels appear to be good without meds for now (they've tested in normal range every time I take them at home too) he said I could try continuing not taking them for now just as long as I keep a close eye on it by continuing to test and obviously letting him know if I notice they are creeping back up.

That's definitely motivating to try to continue to lose weight, and also a little bit of a mini goal as he told me when I was first diagnosed with it back in 2004/2005 that if I lose the weight I may not have to take meds and just control it with diet & exercise.

My next mini-mini goal.. to lose 3 more pounds and make it officially 100lbs lost so far.
