Default Hello, and here's my story... LONG BUT WORTH IT (at least i hope so :)

My name is Lacey and I am a senior in high-school.

My parents divorced when I was a toddler, but I still remember it all. I've had a very poor relationship with my mother most of my life, and, as my therapist says, my mom's house is a "toxic environment" for me.

I remember having binged on say nearly ten brownies at a party, at the age of maybe eight? But I always hid it...once I entered middle school, I began to feel more pressure to do well in school, and was stressed. Yes, I know, "kids don't get stressed." Well there are different types of stress: the stress to impress and please your parents and peers, and the stress to keep your job and house, and support your family. I have/had the first. I began binging really bad every day after school before everyone else got home. And before I knew it I developed bulimia. I would starve myself, too, once I started seventh grade. I think it was just a way to hide my binging from myself. But it ended right as it began to get really bad. I remember I got down to 129 lbs, not very thin for a sixth grader when all your friends weigh 90 lbs. Ever since seventh grade now, I've been struggling, my weight yo-yoing. Let's be honest, all I can do now is keep it from increasing too dramatically. My closet has everything from a size 2 to a size 10, hoping someday those 4s will fit right. My eating disorder is in the past, and now all I want is to be HEALTHY. Yes, thin would be nice as well, but I would like to be healthy now. My main goal is to become a healthy person, develop healthy eating habits, and along the way, drop a bit of weight. Which, I believe, can be accomplished with the help and support of you guys!!!

So, I have a small frame, so my goal weight is a bit low, however it's fine for my BMI and all. My main concern, however, is that I'll start eating too little and lose my muscle So I've gotta be careful, since I usually eat EVERYTHING or NOTHING...one of two extremes, and I need to break this, too.

Other than weight goals, I'll have other goals as well:

1) OVERCOME BINGE EATING!!! This will take the longest, so I'm stopping my list right here and detailing this one goal
a) After school, eat a single serving of a healthy snack
b) drink water at every meal/snack and urge to binge

I've seen some of your guys' posts, and you inspire me tremendously!!!!
KEEP IT UP!!!!

BTW I need an e-mail buddy....I'm a pretty mature teenager, I have about 25 lbs of fat (not muscle!) to lose, and my main concern right now is my eating, I exercise a decent amount now, so I'll focus on it more later. I will support you whether you have 5 or 500 pounds to lose For me, its about the habits, not the weight. I can also help you sort out your issues, I'd like to by a psychologist since I'm pretty good with psychology So anyways lemme know if you interested!

hello! i found you first in the featherweights and then found this thread
I can say similar things that you and astrida have said, my parents divorced when I wasnt young enough to remember, but I was a military kid so we (me and mom) had moved around quite a bit. I had a therapist when I was in the 7-9 age range, partially because I didnt have friends my age (they were all younger than me) and my mom and stepdad were getting ready to divorce also, lots of fighting, but I dont remember much of that age range other than where I went to school and the lady that babysat me, well and my thearpist. My dad remarried and I really dislike my stepmother, but I have two sisters from her/him, but I dont see any of them very often.

My weight didnt start being an issue until college, when I could free eat whenever I wanted, I think that my metabloism slowed down a lot too.

Anyways, psychology? Im actually changing my major to that! But I am going to focus on child psychology.

Nice to meet you I am victoria

Sorry it got so long
