Default New to forums~

Hello my name is Nicholette, im 20 years old, im 290lbs and im SICK OF IT! I know its bad to eat 1 meal a day but i dont have a job me and my husband live off of 1 pay check, i dont really have the money to eat tuna/meat/fish and veggies are kind of expensive. I would love to go on a hardcore diet but thats out of the question, i think. Ive tried so many times to lose weight and almost gave up on it. I got p90x a few weeks ago but i lost all sense of hope... nobody supports me, all my husband does is criticize me when i miss a day or two. I just enrolled at a gym down the street a week ago and i am trying to encourage myself to go everyday but i lose the "umph" to do so.... i get depressed looking at myself and i just want to give up again. Its hard not having anyone to talk to about this. I hope this site can help me, i found it on google searching " i need to lose a lot of weight". ;( Heres to hopefully making new friends and changing my life for the better.

Welcome and good luck . I am wondering how you can afford membership in a gym but can only afford to eat once a day. My advice is to use the gym membership and spread your one meal out into three a day.

Hey Nicholette its nice to meet you. My name is Jessica and i'm 26 weighing 273 and 5'9. I am new to this website also. I know exactly what your dealing with as in the amount of money to buy the healthy food and a membership to the gym. I have been on and off of a weight loss program and nothing seems to work. I'll lose 10 to 15 pounds and then gain it all back. I have a membership to a gym but i've learned that you can lose just as much by walking down the road by your house or the side walk. Also with the weight lifting I have used can foods inside of my own home. When that got to easy for me as in the weight amount I would find something a little heavier to use. This would take out the cost of a membership to where you could spend that extra $20 a month or more in more food. Its hard not having someone to support you during the most important time of your life. When I first started my husband was so harsh on me and wouldn't support me for anything. This time however is different cause he has also gain some weight that he is wanting to get off, so he is on the journey with me now. Even with him being beside me now, I still feel like I need to be in this journey with other women also cause men seem to lose faster then women, so when he gets to his stopping point he will be done, then it will all be me again.

Welcome.

I find that fresh produce often isn't that expensive. But you're right about meat- it is expensive. I lost 25 lbs last year and did it eating mostly chicken, rice and beans. That wasn't too expensive. It was kind of boring, but pretty cheap.

Good luck on your weight loss goals!

Hi Jessica its nice to meet you as well! Were on the same boat it seems. But its not me thats paying for my gym membership its my mother in law, she occasionally helps with groceries, but sometimes shes in her own little world and never talks to me, only her son. My husband needs to lose a lot of weight too but he doesnt really care which sucks. Ive set my mind on finally getting this weight off, i cant look at myself! I came across this site for the motivation i need hopefully things work out for the better, thank you
