I agree about the range. I lost most of my weight in '09 then gained some back with injury and stress. I'm back to losing and heading to a new final goal. The first time, I really stayed in a tight range of 1200 to 1300. I had fixed meals, steady routine days of work and life, and massive commitment. Now, I'm more 1300-1450. I also know my exercise burning rates are a bit higher with heavier weights and lots of extra walking. I may have to reduce the calories down to 1200-1300 soon if I see a plateau forming. So far, I'm on track: 1 pound or so a week and 12 weeks to go.
