Default Favorite Low Cal Foods?

Hi everyone. I'm new around here! I was wondering what your favorite low cal foods are.

Trying to stay at 1200 as a habitual over eater is tricky so I try to find low cal foods that I can eat through out the day.

My favorites are:
Pears @ 50 cal ea
Carb Master Yogurt @ 60 cal ea
String Cheese @ 50 cal ea
Slim fast shake for breakfast or lunch @ 180 cal ea
Baby Carrots @ 45 cal a handful

Fruit is a given.. c'mon.. oranges.. pears.. strawberries.. watermelon... mangos.. bananas.... pretty much all of nature's candy.. LOL

but other than that; I really like the 100 calorie mini brownies from keebler; string cheese also is good; popsicles are all usually under 100 calories too

Low Fat Betty Crocker Brownie mix is my favorite brownie mix period at 140 calories (not exactly low cal but lower cal). Totally have to get a handle on myself when I make them though.

Also love the Light N Fit yogurt brand that has 80 calories!

i love yogurt and i always get "source" i believe the name is? its 35 calories per serving of 100g (pretty sure about this) and theres 650g im a huge tub. that works out to be 230 calories for the HUGE tub of yogurt and i just eat out of the tub.

Yes, fruit is a given I can't do grapes though, I always want more!

Mmmm. I keep hearing about brownies and cake mixes on here. Yesterday I saw something about a can of soda and a bag of cake mix baked together. I really have to reintroduce myself to sweets!

I'm not sure what swiss miss spread is. Is that a cocoa spread? All that comes to mind is swiss miss cocoa with the little marshmallows

Also, I thought I was doing pretty good with yogurt @ 60 cals, but 35?? and it tastes good? I have to make that switch!

I also eat the Source yogurt, which is the 35 cal yogurt. I am not sure about the other flavours, but the strawberry is DELISH! I love it. I eat it plain, but I also use it as a dip for my fruits!

Ohhh, interesting idea. I love hummus and sauteed veggies, never thought to eat them together.

I love lots of foods, probably why I am on this site But the top two I eat often and never get sick of:

Laughing Cow
Hard Boiled Eggs

Sometimes, even together.

Another thing I discovered lately is back bacon! 3 slices is only 60 calories and 11 grams of protein! I don't LOVE it, but it's good.

My favourite at the moment is a Quorn chili I made, loads of veg and kidney beans. 125 calories per portion and it was enough to fill my plate and me.
Other than that fruit of course and a plate of beansprouts (27 calories for about 100g)

For breakfast: Smoothie made with strawberries, half a banana and a little ff greek yogurt
Lunch: Fill a lunch box with salad stuff-no veg is off limits. as much as you can eat-with a small chicken breast all covered with a tbsp of sweet chilli sauce and houmous...my god! Thats so good!
And tea: A jacket potato with a few crab sticks, unlimited veg and a little olive spread on the potato.
Snacks: Fruit (obv.), WW/slimfast snacks (tend to be under 100 cals), popcorn, nuts, little box of raisins...

I don't know the exact cal content for all that. I know its fairly low. I use a site that counts the cals for me (loseit.com) because my brain would explode if I had to constantly calculate (like I used to-not a good plan).

I dunno if thats helpful at all?

I love fruits and vegetables to fill up on. The best thing I got out of the new Weight Watchers plan (before I left!) was using fresh fruits and veg as free foods with no counting.

i think i may have tried every flavor possible, but my favorite ones are still the peach and vanilla. i will admit, they are not as creamy as say, activia, but i have been eating them for so long now, that is how i "know" yogurt to be. When i get the thicker ones, its just too creamy for me. i guess i have learned to condition myself.

i know they also have "dessert" flavored yogurts like. key lime pie and chocolate something... i tried it once but was not too impressed... their tropical fruits one is not bad!

I like both kinds of Cow--Laughing and Skinny. (Yes, I know the Skinny Cow ice cream stuff still has to be taken in moderation, but I really enjoy them when I have the calories to spare.)

Lean turkey, a Laughing Cow wedge, and a whole wheat sandwich thin adds up to under 200 calories. Add in a cup of homemade soup and you have a substantial lunch for around 300 calories.

Raw vegetables dipped in hummus is a standby snack for me. I'm never without both in the house because they stave off an eat-attack pretty well.

Oh, and egg whites. Egg whites are amazing! When I make an omelet, I now make it with one egg plus one or two egg whites. I still get a LOT of food with a proper "eggy" taste and texture, but subtract a lot of calories.
