any Buddhists on 3fc?
I know that we have a couple of religion/spirituality-based subforums, but I wasn't sure exactly where this would fit in, so I thought I'd post under General Chatter. I've always been fascinated by learning about religions, and Buddhism has been of particular interest to me since I took a class on literary and artistic depictions of Buddha during my sophomore year of college. Lately, I've begun to realize that my worldview closely aligns with my understanding of some of the major tenets of Buddhism.
Is anybody on 3fc a Buddhist? If so, were you raised as a Buddhist or did you come to it later in life? If you came to it as an adult, what led you to do so? What school of Buddhist thought do you belong to? And finally, lest I ask too many questions at once, do you have any recommendations for books to read?
