I'm doing atkins too and I think I'm in the 180s. At least, that's why my scale said. My mom's scale gave me a higher number, but I don't like that one as much. Anyway, I do need to be more diligent about tracking my carbs and eating green vegetables. I've been slacking.

I think I'm coming down with the "girl flu" and it always makes me want to eat everything. Carbs included. I went to lunch with a friend and did fine there, then we went for dessert and coffee and I ordered the fruit and cheese plate, skipping the bread and eating only a couple pieces of fruit. I am a little disappointed in myself because I had some toasted ravioli later at her house, but it was the first time I have had any bread/pasta in 2 months, so I'll get over it. I just need to be on track all day tomorrow!

Can I be one of your buddies too? I did induction for 2 weeks and lost 6 pounds. I have to admit that I wasn't strict on my veggie intake and I had the Atkins bars, so I'm almost positive I sabotaged myself there and could have done better with weight loss. I'm recommitting myself today and doing a strict induction period. I need all the support and accountability I can get!

Hello. I am new here. I am also in the 180s. I weighed in at 186 today. I have done atkins before and lost 40 pounds in 2 months. That was 6 years and a baby ago. Now it is slow going. Could use some advice and motivation.

hi new buddys!!!
i could use a few new buddies as well. there is another site that talks about atkins 1972. and it sounds like the weight comes off faster. so im starting it today and will report back. i just would love to lose 30 more pds or more. just been hanging around the same weight for a while. im stuck and hoping the 72 version will help.

Let us know how the 72 Atkins does for you. I have had problems with plateaus.

Need to do something...I seem to always get to 183 and get stuck! I am not one to exercise...BUT I have been walking in the evenings and it still doesn't seem to help! I want to get out of the 180s...any suggestions!
