I'm getting it done this year!
I delivered my son, who was 9 pounds, 9 ounces, 18 months ago this month. And while I love the little guy to death, I don't love what that pregnancy did to my body.
I'm 5'8". I weighed a healthy 145 lbs in high school, then went to university where I gained about 20 pounds. At 39 weeks pregnant, I weighed 210. At the beginning of 2010, my weight settled around 193 and I began my weight-loss blog. By Christmas 2010, I hadn't lost anything. In fact, I had gained 2 pounds.
For my 2011 resolution, I decided I wasn't going to moan and groan anymore. I was going to get it done. I started writing down everything that went in my mouth, I started exercising regularly, and in one month I had dropped 7 pounds.
Today, I weigh 178 and my BMI is 27 exactly. I decided to join 3FC because this site kept popping up whenever I'd search something health-related into Google. I've discovered it's full of women in the same boat I'm in, and I hope to gain support and cheer others on as well!
My goals:
~Get back down to 165 (normal BMI of 25), and then work on my "happy weight" of 145-150.
~Wear a size 10-12, or even 6-8.
~Lose this weight not by "dieting", but by overhauling my old, unhealthy lifestyle. Portion control, calorie counting, regular exercise, etc.
I'm excited to get to know some new buddies, and to get this DONE together!
