Angry Lost my job today

So I lost my job today and am now feeling a bit lost and angry. I just feel that they were never looking to keep anyone in the position long term, and I've just wasted the last 2 and a half months with them when I could of waited around and got a different job with long term career prospects.
What really has annoyed me is the fact that when I went for the interview they made the point that they were looking for someone long term etc.
Suppose I ought to start rewriting my cv and job hunting.

So sorry to hear that. It really stinks that they didn't give you advance notice so that you could start looking for something else. Yes, update your resume with the additional skills you've acquired from that job and start posting away. Also, try to get references from your supervisor. Don't feel blue - in this day and age it's happening to even the best people. Keep OP and optimistic.

Good luck!

On the bright side, you made some money and you don't have a 2 1/2 mo blank spot on your CV.

Some employers develop bad habits in their hiring/firing practices. They think (erroneously) that it is cheaper for them to keep training someone than to keep them beyond the probationary period and have to offer benefits. Their loss.

There's a better fit out there somewhere. It more than just an old saying: When one door shuts there's another that's open.

Good Luck.

My pregnant sister just got fired from her crappy job too. Conveniantly, it was right before she was about to qualify for benefits, and would have been able to take maternity leave. This call center has a track record for doing this, and then hiring them back after six months. My sister has worked there twice. She was desperate for a job besides fast food last time, and says never again!

Thank you. I am trying to keep positive with the whole one door closes another one opens, but just feel a bit empty at the moment. Am currently sat trying to work out what I actually want to do with my life at the moment. Hopefully some inspiration will come to me soon!

I am so sorry about this. Looking for a new job is one of the hardest things. In a few months, when you find the perfect job, you will look back and be thankful you had the opportunity to move onward.
Best of luck my dear. May the sun shine down on you today.

I'm sorry to hear that. Hang in there.
I'm in the same boat. The company I worked for closed their doors and now I am unemployed. And snacking is on the brain when I'm depressed and stressed. LOL But, I'm trying to be strong. Hope you are being strong too when it comes to the snacking.

Good luck will come our way soon. ;-)
