Hello all! Just started Ideal Protein
I am in my early 50s, and over the past decade or so, my weight has crept up about 30 pounds, along with my cholesterol, triglycerides and liver enzyme levels. Yikes!
On January 1, I started the South Beach Diet. Several of my co-workers started the Ideal Protein Diet the same day. I did really well my first 2 weeks in Phase 1, about the same as they did. After that, despite sticking with SB, my progress went phht, and theirs kept on. Every week, more and more of my co-workers started and did well. I am extremely happy that as a result of my first 12 pounds lost, all of my blood levels have gone down into completely normal levels!
Now that the short-term health issue is addressed, I really, really want to get even healthier, and get back to, if not skinny, my adult weight from my 30s, and SB just wasn't doing it. Two weeks ago, I decided if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! I went to the Ideal Protein seminar, and I started with my teenage daughter on Friday. She is on the alternative diet, and I doubt she will be on for long. My husband also started. He travels a lot, and he thought it would be a lot easier to keep up with a diet on this program.
So far so good. The first couple of days I had a headache and was a bit hungry, but today, I feel great! I am hoping that this diet proves as successful for me as it has been for everyone else, and I am looking forward to getting to know you all.
