Hi everyone!
I wanted to know if anyone did IOWL here (Inside Out Weight Loss)... I stumbled upon it last weekend on Amazon- downloaded the first series- it was cheap enough and I really am enjoying it! Out of the first three sessions alone I had found a great amount of insight. Like- the subconscious doesn't understand negative words, like don't. So when we are beating ourselves up in our heads and scold ourselves "Don't eat that cookie!" the only thing the subconscious hears is "EAT!" It really made sense to me. I am constantly talking to myself in my head about food- don't eat this, stop over eating, etc and when I tried to phrase things in my head about food and didn't use "don't" or "stop", I found this weekend to be much easier.
I also found out what the key was to my weight gain as a teenager. I knew my childhood had a major role in my weight, but I couldn't pin point exactly what the role was until this week. I had an "Aha!" moment. And it was great!
Anyway... I just wanted to see if anyone else did IOWL? Maybe we could have a little group here? (I checked out their Yahoo group and wasn't feeling it. Besides, I love 3FC too much
