Default Fell off the diet __ upset

So I broke my diet because I am recently going through the most difficult break up I have been through as of yet. I am so upset I do not have any strength to count calories or work out .. or anything for that matter. I know it sounds silly but anyone who has gone through a genuinely tough break can hopefully understand. Any advice or has anyone been through this ?

I do understand..when i have gone through bad break ups i actually either stuff my face or i dont eat at all..And i understand the whole not wanting to do anything. THe only thing you feel like doing is just curling up and hiding under the covers in bed all day and crying.. However..you can..choose to do that..OR you can decide that working out and eating right is going to make for a better you..whatever the circumstance you went through..use the emotions you have to power your workouts..For instance: if your angry about something that happend..use the angry energy you have and take it out on a treadmill or if your sad..swim in a pool until you feel like you could not possibly cry anymore.. Use what you got right now in this moment, put your whole self into it..Dont let this break up stuff keep you in bed..i promise you taht when you get moving you will feel better, and not just because your using your energy, but because exercise boosts the mood and because your doing something for you..allow yourself to feel upset for a day..but then move on..try moving onward and upward..and maybe you have a bad day on your diet, but the next day, pick yourself up and decide that you will look at the day as new and a new start and the ability to become the person you want to be..as you want to see yourself...and trust me..i know you cant see the light at the end of the tunnel, but i promise you, its there.

These things happen in life. Just take care of yourself as you grieve. It is exhausting! My break ups left me wrung out and sobbing like crazy -- and I was the breaker upper! Dealing with a loss is a big thing.

But then get back on the saddle once the initial shock of the break up passes. Just don't put it off for ever. You can still feel sad, but getting back to your normal routine really does help get back to healing.

In time you will be able to notice that something new has begun (a whole new life for you!) and not just the thing that ended. (old relationship). You will feel better, I promise.

Thanks for all the advice... I feel like I am not the only person going through it. But still I feel so low right now that I can not even imagine feeling optimistic about myself for the next few days ...
