Default god this is taking its time...

i started my weight loss new years eve just gone from midnight i put down my chicken wing and decided enough was enough and may god is it coming off me slowly lol. its taken me 8 weeks to loose 11lbs im finally in the 14 stones again as of today (14 stone 13lbs lol) im just wondering what you guys to to keep you motivated when you feel you arnt going anywhere.....
im not following any kind of 'diet' as from my experience that word just does somthing to my brain (and belly) and alls i want is crap (parden my french!) so iv just been making better food choices ans trying my very hardest to not have carbs after 6 (which is hard when i dont get in from work till 7)
i keep looking at all your goal photo's to spur me on but when im not near my computer i need other tips to help me out
especially when im at work surrounded by lots of skinny minnys who eat not stop (or so it seems) whilst im there 'enjoying' my salads and soups

Keep at it, slowly and surely wins the race so they say.

11lbs is great, it is hard sometimes to keep yourself motivated, I had got down to about nine stone four pounds, but I lost my father two years ago and found myself at 12 stone five pounds due to comfort eating as I miss him so much. Originally I was just over 15 stone, I am now 11 stone five pounds so it's going back down slowly.

Take good care

Hi Nicolae

I have one tip that always helps me when i'm healthy eating. I get a fashion catalogue and i go through it cover to cover looking at all the lovely clothes. I do that whilst i'm watching television, and seeing all the clothes just spurs me on because i pick out things that i would love to wear. I say to myself i will be able to wear that in the summer. I hope this helps.

Hugs Sammy xxx

Yes, losing weight is sooo very slooow.
... ...

And I lost 35+ pounds up to now. It seems like it took forever.
But every week I managed to lose almost a pound. And that is a really good track record.
It just doesn't come off in a month or 2 like I wish it would.

Just hang in there. It will take a long time. This time next year you will look and feel a lot different.
I have a lot more energy and am getting a lot more done around the house every month.
My shoes are all loose and I dropped a dress size.
And not one soul has mentioned the loss so far.

There are payoffs to all that dieting, but they take time.

I stick post it notes all over my office with my target weight on it so its everywhere i look, and iv put a few in the kitchen so when i go to pig out i see them and it works i go back to the living room with an apple rather then choc's
I also buy clothes that are a size smaller and get them out all the time a think how good i am going to look in them.
Its exercise i need motivation for as I am so tired all the time i never feel like going to the gym

I stick unflattering photo's of myself on the fridge at home and in my purse along with a list of my reasons for losing weight, and they can be anything ranging from I want to wear a bikini on the beach, to making my ex jealous, to just wanting to be confident again. That works, it makes me realise that a chocolate bar or my favourite Brie cheese isn't going to make me as happy as a flat tummy, nice legs and arms like Jennifer Aniston =) By the way if you're losing weight slowly, yes it takes a lot of time but ultimately you're more likely to keep the weight off in the long term, and you're diet is more likely to become a life-style change rather than a short-term fix it. So good luck to all you fab ladies, we are going to look incredible this summer =D xx
