Red face Hello to all my fatabulous friends! =)

Well my name is Jamie i'm 25... I've been overweight my entire life since I can remember... I've battled the demon of weightloss SEVERAL times! Unsuccessful almost every time! Maybe a couple lb's here or there but nothing worth celebrating. I made it my goal that this year will be different because my family history is not healthy.. (heart disease, diabetes, stroke, high blood pressure) and I don't wanna go down that road! So! I've completely changed my diet! I eat fruit and lots of veggies! along with my meats! ect... (im addicted to green peppers n sweet peppers! and pineapple is delish) lol I exercise everyday! 20-30 mins on the treadmill 2x's a day and 15-20 mins weights and strength training 1x a day! i've just started out approx 2 weeks ago working out so im not 100% on how good im doing hahaha it's better than nothing I suppose! I feel like if I came to a place to read and get encouragement I have a better chance succeeding! So here I am So HELLO EVERYBODY!! I look forward to making new friends !! thanks for listening to me babble lol

Jamie

Welcome Jamie. I am new to this message board too. I belonged to the calorie-count forum but there wasn't much support there and it was very "clickish". Been there and done that in high school so no thanks!

I have a feeling this is going to be your year! You sound extremely motivated and you are off to a wonderful start!

A little something I recently learned about working out is to mix up the routine. I did the same thing every day and my body got used to it. It can be as simple as putting in 5 less minutes but increasing the incline or resistence levels.

But you'll come to know your body very well and how it responds to certain things over time.

Glad you are here with us. The people on this sight are all wonderful, encouraging and helpful!

So much more energy and my spirit is so much lighter! Im very happy im taking the leap! It's a long road but i'm willing to walk it.. =) I've been reading through the forum and it sounds like a place that's going to be very helpful! I wish u the best of luck on your rainbow ride to the pot of gold =) I hope to see you again on the journey! =D
