Angry Snow storm ruined my day!

So yesterday afternoon, we got hit with about 6 inches of snow while I was at work. Seeing as how I live about 30 miles away, I was stranded at a relatives house with no access to the internet or my points + calculator.

I did my best to try and come as close as possible to my daily limit but I came to work this morning an entered everything in online, I came up 12 points UNDER. So today I am STARVING. It's 2pm and I have only 5 points left for the entire evening!

Should I eat more to compensate for yesterday or should I just try to get through today eating my normal 29 pts?? I really want to lose weight this week.

I'm thankful that I had a place to stay last night but I just feel like this has completely derailed me from my diet right now.

Things like that happen. Most would probably say don't eat extra to make up for it, but being hungry sucks. Personally, I would fall somewhere in the middle. Take 6 of those 12 and use them plus you 5. But that's just me .

Do you have any weeklies you could use?

Don't let it derail you. Life happens.

I agree with shciref. If you're hungry, eat something. If you have weeklies left, eat those. Or if you have fruits and non-starchy veggies eat those, since they are 0 points. But if you're hungry, definitely don't keep yourself hungry.

Just get through today and start again fresh tomorrow!

Do you have any extra points from your weekly points you could use to have a good dinner? When i am with low points left, i usually make myself a big stir fry... very small amt of chicken with a little teryaki. I add water to the teryaki too so it goes further with less. I think that i end up with about 5 pts for that dinner, and its super yummy.

Yesterday was "Family Day" in Canada, and no grocery stores were open. Ive had no food at home what so ever since cash has been tight, so ive been picking things up as i need them... well, i was not able to get dinner and nothing was open after my evenings shift so i ended up doing pizza. Which... i HATE that i did, but i was so darn hungry. It was either that or ending up at the closest convenience store for some tortilla and salsa. Just as an added kick in the butt for eating it, i felt like crap. Stomach was in pain etc. Sooo, ill never do that again! better planning for me
