Good morning, folks. Finally updated my ticker to it's correct weight. I had left it at 260 for months as I gained back a few pounds, lost a few, gained a few, and lost a few again. Finally got down to 259 about a week or so ago and, w/ my stomach bug, lost down officially to 256 this week (was 253 until I started eating again, LOL). Just 10 more pounds until I reach my 100 pounds lost milestone!!!
So since I'm the first here today, lemme tell you guys what I'm going to do today. This is the first day I've had off where I haven't been puking or feeling like I need to puke, so I'm going to go shopping w/ my income tax refund money that's been sitting in the bank since last Thursday. I plan on getting new running shoes (started C25K this past week...Week 1, Day 3 after work today) and maybe some goal clothes from Old Navy (I just LOVE their clothes). And I have a co-worker whose mom wants to sell her elliptical for $75 so I'm gonna get that. And then I'm signing me and my mom up for a 5K in March. It's gonna kill my time, but I'm gonna slow down and walk it w/ her. There's lots more, but I can't think of it right now, LOL
Anywho, that's enough of my boring chatter. What's everybody got planned for today??? Everybody got the day off or are you stuck working??? The weather here has been in the high 70s which is a little warm for my tastes, but I'll take what I can get as long as it's not raining, LOL Hope everybody has a great day!!!
Good morning! It's cold and snowy here. I got my workout in this morning and then got an extra shoveling workout afterward! The big kids all have school today since Germany doesn't celebrate George Washington or Abraham Lincoln's birthdays but Tom has off, although I'm finding that the further he climbs the ranks the more he has to work on his days "off". He's over at the office now but should be home early afternoon. Lukas and I are about to head upstairs to clean the third floor.
I've missed you guys the last few days but I've been SO busy that I didn't have extra time to pop in. Friends of mine from college are transitioning through Ramstein on their way to their next assignment so we've been spending a good amount of time together. It's so great to be able to catch up with old friends and feel like you jumped right back in where you left off. Tom had never met them before but we all are having a blast together and our kids couldn't get along better. Such fun!
Natasha, congrats on being so close to your 100 pound loss goal. That is huge! I can't wait to celebrate with you when you get there!
Off to get the cleaning done.

Hi everyone,
Natasha, that sounds like a fun day! I love to spend money. I have off today but my son is registered into a holiday camp for the week (mid-winter break) so I'm going to drop him off and then go to PT (this will be my last PT session for a while, or hopefully forever). Then I'm going to come home and roast some veggies for the week, wash a couple of walls and paint some kitchen cabinet doors. Then I'll go pick my son up, and he has a dentist appointment after that. Whew!
I've been seriously off track the last couple of days and had been slowly veering there over the course of the month. I'm actually up on the scale now compared to what I was Feb. 1 (my ticker is accurate) which sucks, but I'm hoping to really refocus this week and get myself back in the grove. I have good food in the house and am going to clean out all the bad food today, because if it's around, it's in my mouth.
Thanks for getting us started this morning, Natasha, and have fun spending your refund money. We got our taxes done yesterday and will be getting a refund, too. And congrats on the weightloss! It's always a good day when you get to move your ticker down!
Kara, I was afraid I'd see snow when I looked outside this morning, but we're only getting rain. That may change for tomorrow, though.
Matilda, you have a good plan to get yourself refocused and back on-track, and I know you can do it. Have a good day, today!
It's a work day for me, but I love it when the girls are off school so we can spend the day together. We don't have any definite plans for the day, but Amber wants to come with me, and I'm sure we'll find something fun to do.
Natasha - almost 100 lbs....congratulations! That's amazing!! Good for you on the C25K as well....can't wait to hear all your race reports!
Kara - good morning!! Glad you had so much fun seeing former classmates....I would love to do that sometime too, I really miss some of them!
MMCK - I've been off track too, but that's all below. Good luck!
So here I am. I *think* things are finally clicking. I got into the really bad habit of taking a bite here and there, getting dessert, etc. etc. I had myself a good talk (to myself!) on Saturday night...I'm just not the age and body type to get away with that. So, yesterday was GREAT!! No nibbling, not even tempted. I felt like I did a few years ago when I started on the beach. Now, I just need to keep up with it!!
The kids are off school today (although with the SNOW coming down, they would've had a delay), I'm going to jump on the treadmill before they have to get up. Then it's work (they'll go with me ... lucky me...) and some school projects afterwards.
Thanks for getting us started, Natasha! I'm glad to hear your WL is back on track and that you'll be reaching a major goal really soon! Great news on all your exercise goals and accomplishments, too. Yay for an elliptical! I just got a recumbent bike-it was on super sale!
Kara, glad to hear you had a fun reunion with friends. I'm always glad when my old friends get along with my DH.
Matilda(Mmc), sounds like a busy day for you! Is it Spring if you are washing walls?
And from the weekend:
Porthardygurl, Happy Belated Birthday! I've been married almost 20 yrs and my DH forgets almost every significant event. He's not a calendar guy!
Jasmine(tanner'smom), great news about your uncle improving! ouch for funky eating but you have the right RX for getting back on track!
justmary, Welcome! to our daily thread! I'm 53, too. Posting every day has been my greatest tool for long term success! I hope to see you here often.
Sharon(jicarilla), Welcome! Congrats on your WL so far! This is a very supportive group and I've found the daily accountability helps me to not stray too far. BTW I checked my new book out from the library.
Everyone else Sorry I didn't get here too much this weekend.
Me, well the news about my friend is cautiously optimistic. ..still paralyzed, but increasingly cognizant of his surroundings. It is fortunate that they have family back East. We had a busy weekend with my Sis and I had OP eating and exercise. Karen's(WaistingTime) blog entry got me to finally investigate some of the online tracking sites.(Especially since I knew the added stress of my friend's injury could lead me down the wrong path) I know that I'm going to need to track in order to keep losing and don't want to start gaining. I settled on Livestrong.com and I'm getting it figured out. I've stayed within my calorie range for 3 days now. I've had the pups out and I need to get rolling on getting rescue paperwork caught up. Then it's clean house, get the recumbent bike set up and my Sis will be over for puzzling.
Twynn, it's good to see you checking in and I'm glad this plan is clicking into place for you. Have a fun day with taking the kiddos to work with you!
Debbie, your friend is still in my prayers. I'm glad he has relatives nearby to rally him and his wife on right now so they're not among strangers.
Kara, Amber is just a few months older than Audrey, and all three girls get along great together. They don't get to see each other often during the school year, so today will be a treat.
Good morning...I got up extra early and got in my jog/walk video today. I am striving to start my day like that everyday! Happy to report that...I am down a pound today...finally! I hope to get back and check in with everyone but I better get the boys up and ready for school. Happy Monday everyone!!!
Good morning Another night of insomnia so I'm a bit of a zombie this morning. It's a light work day (a floating holiday I will use when the birds start migrating) so not much driving.
Congratulations Natasha, what a tremendous accomplishment
I'm not awake enough to type more. I'll stop back in this afternoon and catch-up.
Today will be crazy, so I am preparing myself. The kids have dental appts first thing, then they will be at horseback riding camp the rest of the day. I'm out of prednisone, so need to get to the pharmacy and out of milk, so also the dairy. And last night my laptop decided to lock up and freeze me out of the encryption, so I expect to be on the phone with IT support the rest of the day. I'm not off today, so I am very hopeful I can actually get some work done and not be playing catchup the rest of the week! But first, a cup of very strong coffee, and a brisk walk to get my head and body in the right place to start the day.
Natasha, your day sounds great. I'm glad you're feeling better. I just signed up for a 5K mid-March, and will probably have to walk most of it myself, but hey, it's a goal! Matilda, dentist and camp, sounds like we have the same day planned! Kara, sounds like you are having a great reunion. Enjoy. cottage, have a fun time with your girls today. Twynn, I'm glad you are getting the snow today, not us. I don't know what we'll end up with but I REALLY hope the kids are not delayed tomorrow. Lisa, Debbie, Cyndi, you chicks have a great day.
I'm checking in (quickly) from my mom's house. It's snowing here, but hopefully there won't be too much accumulation. I'm still dragging from that bug and don't feel much like shoveling. But I suppose the fresh air and exercise will be good for me. I'm eating again but still the headache lingers.....
Natasha - you've done (and continue to do) such an amazing job! Here's an early congratulations for that 100 lbs down - and I'm looking forward to congratulating you again VERY soon!
schmoodle, I didn't have time to post over the weekend, but re: prednisone, I took it daily for several years and had the classic 'moon face'. I got used to it and it wasn't a big deal after a while, but I expect that's what the 'puffiness' you were noticing is. Mine went away when I finally went off prednisone in the fall of 2009.
Debbie, I'm still praying for a better than expected recovery and for peace and courage for all involved.
Lisa, you have school today? I guess I live in the right state!
Tammy, yay for getting back on plan. I fall into that trap, too, from time to time, and it always feels good to get back on track.
Debbie, I'm glad to hear things may be looking up for your friend. What a tragedy!
Lisa, I exercise every morning, too. It's a great way to start the day and even though I hate getting up early I do love my quiet workout time. It puts me in a good mood.
Cyndi, I'm sorry your nights have been so bad lately.
Schmoo, good luck with the errands today! I hope the computer fix is an easy one!
Heidi, enjoy your day off and continue to feel better!

Matilda - I am a big tosser myself. My husband hates that. But I'd rather waste it than waist it.
Debbie - So you like livestrong. Still trying out a few others myself. Funny how inconsistent they are with calories in food and how much I burn with exercise.
Heidi - Still a headache?! What's with that?
The teen has the day off school today. Not much going on here. Have to get to the store again. I can only think about groceries a few days at a time. The temp will be almost 40 degrees lower than yesterday! Winter is back
