Default I found my Kneisls in 1910!

I have been chasing boobalah's family and lost ALL the Kneisls in 1910. I've been going to the national archives for years and couldn't find them. Since it is a holiday weekend, ancestry.com is having some free searches and it happens to be the 1910 census. I found them! They are a big family. How could I not find them? Seems they moved to a different county in Minn. I just wish I could find Chriselda. She is in the 1900 census and the 1920 census. She is my fav,

Anyone chase dead people?

My Dad was adopted and very closed about what he knows about his birth parents...My Mom's family on the other hand is Mennonite and I have record books for both the Martins and Ebersoles way back...

I was on ancestry.com earlier today, looking at the free 1910 census records. It's awesome that you were able to find some of your people!

I didn't have a whole lot of luck with mine - common names and a high degree of mobility (and possibly a tendency to rural settlement and distrust of the government) has made tracking some branches pretty hard.

I always loved geneology but my dad is adopted and he never wanted to know who his birth parents were and now that he has died I guess I will never know. My grandma on my mother's side has a family tree from my grandfather's side that dates back to the 1800s though. Family trees are really fascinating to look at. Maybe one day I will be able to make one of my own.
