Default I have nothing to wear!... :-)

For the past 5 or so years, since my weight crept up on me, my morning routine has been to claim that I have nothing to wear as I desperately tear my closet apart. The problem wasn't that I had nothing to wear, but that I had no magic clothes that made me look 20lbs lighter!
Now that I am 22lbs lighter, I really dont have anything to wear! It's not that all my clothes are hanging off of me (yet!) but I do have a safety pin holding the extra 4 inches of my skirt's waist in place! I know I need to buy clothes eventually, but I'm waiting to be closer to my goal.
I just wanted to share me excitement this morning I have never said "I have nothing to wear!" with a giant grin on my face!

Thank you for the support everyone! I'm pretty good with a sewing machine so I might have to get to work on it tonight! I work in an office and have to dress professional, so I don't think safety pins will cut it much longer! I think I am on the downward track again too after a couple weeks on bouncing between 156 and 159... So glad I didn't give in to "this isnt working anymore anyway" temptations!
I'm starting the P90X training videos tonight so I am going to be soooooooore! But the pounds should shed fast. I am in reasonable shape despite my weight, so I hope I survive!

Congratulations, Kimzle, on your weight loss and not giving up when it gets hard and slow. I can't sew; when my clothes got impossibly big, I was lucky to start to wear things I'd saved from thinner days. A friend at work noticed how big a pair of pants was and volunteered to loan me clothes she had to put away after she lost 90 pounds. We played "dress up" one day after school, and I left with five pairs of pants, a blazer and a couple of sweaters. I like consignment shops, even when weight isn't a problem.

I donated my too-big clothes to our women's shelter; I don't even want them in my closet!

Sandy Fanny I am with you on the consignment shops and I'm all about the thrift stores! I'm going to have to go soon and get some clothes to hold me over until I get my big shopping spree I think that there are some items in my closet that I can easily take in, like some skirts and maybe a blouse or two, but for the most part I will probably give them to friends. I mean, I'm good with a sewing machine, but who has time to fix all their own clothes, work a full time job, be a full time wife (common law but it's the same to me! lol), fix up the house we just bought a year ago and do all the fun things we want to do? There is probably some amazing woman out there that can do it all, but she is not this little chicky!
Btw, went to a birthday party and a going away party last night (2 separate parties) and even with the little slice of mousse cake and the couple glasses of wine I had I am down another pound! That's a total of 25lbs gone and 3lbs in a week! Hooray!
