Default New to 3FC...Hello!

Hello everyone! I'm new to the forum and wanted to introduce myself. I'm a single mom to 3 little ones, work full time in an office setting, and need to lose about 30 pounds. Seems I kept about 10 extra pounds from each pregnancy!!
I've tried WW in the past with little success. I actually don't mind exercising...it's the healthy food/dieting I struggle with. My goal this year is not only to lose the extra weight, but to get myself and my kids eating healthier.
I'm going to a seminar on Ideal Protein this week and when I was looking for info on IP, I ran across this site. After reading through the forum, I knew I had to join! I look forward to "meeting" you and sharing our success on this journey!

Hey Kat!

We have a great, active IP forum here, which hopefully you've found. We also have groups by age range (20-somethings, 30-somethings, etc) for general chatting and support, and then there are a TON of smaller support groups. So look around and find a spot, then just settle in.

Can't wait to get to know you better!

If you read my intro post we are both trying to lose those extra 30 pounds! I would love to know what you are doing and what you learn from the protein seminar. I have a hard time eating means and most of my protein comes from beans, which I rarely eat. Anyhow, welcome and I know you can do it WE are busy determined women and can conquer anything so long as we have a goal and a positive outlook on it all!!!! Cheers!

Fresno - I'd definitely be interested in partnering up. I definitely push myself harder when I have someone to hold me accountable!

30byJune - I know how busy life can be - seems like as working mothers there are never enough hours in the day! I've been stepping up my workouts and have a goal to walk/jog/bike an average of 5 miles every day in February. Eating is my biggest struggle. I have a long drive to/from work and then scouts, soccer, etc after work - drive-thrus are too convenient and I need to start doing a better job at planning meals. I'm hoping Ideal Protein can help me get on track.
