Mine is Torrid even though they are a little pricey. Mostly I bouhgt bras from them because I can't walk into any store and buy a bra on sale for 14.99 and have any chance of squeezing into one a size smaller. Torrid is very trendy and exactly my style. Why is it, though, that there is a huge population of big girls, but in my area, most stores cater to small girls??? Where I live, you will see more bbw here. No hate towards you smaller girls, but I would love to buy trendy clothes that look good on me.
I'm in college, and really po', so I shop at Target and Marshalls-esque places a lot. Nordstrom is great but I feel like I'm tainting the store whenever I browse through there haha.
I don't really have one now. I just pretty much shop at walmart. But I love to browse at shops on line and I am so ordering from them when i get down to one of the sizes they have. pinupgirlclothing.com and modcloth. Both of those websites are so much fun to browse at.
i LOVE LOVE LOVE eBay! I got a Betsey Johnson dress there for like $40 instead of the store for $300+! I also sell my clothing on there in exchange for new ones!
I love White House Black Market. Their closes are mostly true to their size...when I was 14, 12, 10, 8, 6...I never had to try them on. -- Their strapless tanks are the only ones that run a bit small.
I'm still in plus sizes and there aren't a lot of choices where I'm from. In town, I am limited to Wal-Mart and there's a Fashion Bug an hour away. While they don't have the best clothes, they are pretty inexpensive, so that's good for me. Not only do I not have a load of cash, I'm also always planning on losing more weight so I don't want to spend a lot on clothes I hopefully won't be able to wear long.
I like the clothes at Lane Bryant and Maurice's plus section more, but since they are more expensive, I don't shop at those places often.
I've only recently got to where I can wear some Old Navy clothes and that really excites me, I've always wanted to shop there. So far, I only have a handful of clothes from there, but as I progress I will be able to wear more and since they are also fairly cheap, it's win/win! I can't wear their pants at the moment because, while their waist sizes are generous and I can fit in their sizes, the proportions are all wrong for me so they are way too big in the hips/butt/legs.
For more mainstream stores that have some cute things that work with my personal style, Forever 21 and Kohl's are a few of my brick-and-mortar favorite shops.
Otherwise, I've found a variety of cute things on Ebay, Amazon, etc...
Specialty online shops: Fairy Goth Mother(they have the most gorgeous corsets), ChicStar, Senjo Clothing, and a whole bunch more.
Also, Hancock Fabrics, Joanne Fabrics, and Hobby Lobby because I love to make my own, too! Also, some of my favorite clothing items have been crocheted by my mother, so if her and her giant stash of yarn in the living room count as a clothing store, her stuff is some of my favorite.
