Wink Hello from Seattle!



What's up my fluffy friends! So I need to lose weight, and I'm guessing that is why we're all here. I started "eating healthier" about a week ago, and I've lost 3 pounds so far. I say "eating healthier" because when I say I am on a diet I never stick to it, so as long as I just choose wiser and stop eating fast food I seem to do okay! I am in it for the long haul this time and I am ready to shed the weight. SERIOUSLY! (How many times have I said that? lol)

Anyone from Seattle? Make sure to say hello if so!

Hello and welcome! I am not from Seattle, but from WA at least! I live on the East side in Walla Walla. Have been a member on the board here for a while and love it! The girls here totally keep me motivated and have so much knowledge to share.

welcome to the boards!!! congrats on making the steps to a healthier lifestyle! i'm not from seattle, but i'm currently living in this very gray place (although it was nice to see the sun today!!!).
this is a great forum, definitely peruse around- there is a wealth of info here, as well as wonderful people ready to motivate, give recipes, pearls of wisdom, and offer a ear to listen

Thanks guys!

What gets you motivated??

I think as soon as my clothes start fitting better and my face thins out a little bit I will start being super motivated. But until then...just getting on the scale and seeing a slightly smaller number always helps. I have diabetes and my blood sugar is actually at a healthy range for once in the past 3 years.
