Congrats on the 2 pounds!! I count calories too - are you using an online tracker? I use fitday to log all my calories, and usually plan my day in the morning (I could get better at planning, but so far this is what I've been doing). In terms of exercise, what about starting out simply, and just walk? Walking is a great form of exercise. I'm reading "Thin for Life" and it says that many maintainers (those who have lost weight and kept it off) use walking as their main form of exercise. Just remember also, that losing weight is generally 80% diet and 20% exercise. Exercise is more for feeling great and helping to shape our bodies and build muscle, but for losing diet is where it's at for the most part. Anyways welcome!!

Do you have a wii? I buy fitness games to supplement my gym time. Do area high schools have free gym days? How about your local library, see if they have work out dvds (or videotapes). or, just dance! Put on your fav tunes, and move, walks are great when the weather is warmer, or plan a night out to roller skate! (or learn to roller skate, LOL, it can be tough).

Oh yeah I hear you...I have a german shepherd so I have no choice but to go out. I wear like three layers, and I don't really feel it too much - and I always feel better for it, but it's a struggle sometimes!!! On crazy cold days, I dance around my living room. As long as no one's looking in, it's all good.

He there. I use http://www.livestrong.com/ as my calorie counter. Its called the daily plate and its wonderful. And free. : I also use free workouts. If you have a DVR you can record workouts on TV or if you have Comcast you can go to ExerciseTV in the OnDemand section and use the free workouts there. Lots of things to choose from!

Im a cheap skate so this stuff helps a lot. Good luck@!

I just recntly started but Im a calorie counter too as of now Im taking in about 1200 cals a day, but everyone is different I had a friend who did this and lose 90+ lbs in 9 months so we will see how it goes. As for workouts there are so many options without going to the gym go to a local park and walk or jog, yoga can become your best friend it stretches the body and makes you feel great and it helps build lean muscles, if you have calble or satelite you can find workouts throught the day, you can find exercise dvds at your local target and walmart*** best tip I can give is to start slow and listen to your body. good luck on your journey.
