I am "new" here, though actually joined 2 years ago. I just avoided coming to the site. I thought I was ready before to lose weight, but I guess not, since I haven't stuck with any type of lifestyle change and have gained more and more weight.
I have a lot to lose, but am trying to use positive self-talk this time around. I'm not sure exactly how much, but *gulp* at least 100 lbs.

I can't believe I let myself go like this, but I have and it is time to get healthy. I'm only 5'3", so I am carrying around a lot of weight.
I am going to the grocery store to get healthy food and a scale battery. I am going to weigh myself and put the weight ticker on my profile so that I will feel proud of the progress I am going to make. I'm going to try my best not to get discouraged by any set backs (I know they will occur), but do my best to get right back on track. It won't be quick, but this isn't a quick fix. This is a permanent change to make myself and my son healthy.
Unfortunately, my unhealthy ways have affected him negatively and he needs to get healthy. He and I are going to do this together. It's finally time.
