ok. im no expert at this but starvation isnt the key. 20 lbs a month is doable but you need all the help you can get and make sure you arent doing anything to the point where its causing a heath issue... be careful and read up on the forums and things on here and it'll come to you.

Hey there, and

Look, I definitely understand the feeling of wanting to get the weight off, no matter what. But starvation really, really isn't the answer. Really. For a lot of reasons.

First off, most people can't sustain it. They'll eat very little during the day, and then their body systems start screaming for food. That leads to overeating or binging, then guilt, then starving to make up for the meal the night before...repeat, repeat, repeat. You get nowhere and fill your life with guilt. Not good.

Second, it's not good for your body and actually fights against you with weight loss. Your body is designed to keep itself alive and nourished. So starving yourself causes your body to slow itself down. That means if you could eat 1500 calories and lose weight now, after starving yourself you'll only be able to eat 1100 calories to lose weight. As you keep going, your metabolism continues to slow (remember, your body is trying to keep you from starving and dying!), and it takes more and more starvation to lose weight. And while that is happening, you're losing muscle (meaning even IF you hit your goal, you'll be loose and flabby still, since you'll have less muscle) and hurting the hormonal systems of your body. The end result is that, even if you reach your goal weight, you put the weight back on faster and easier than you did before.

And if you're doing this for looks, well, starvation isn't going to help you there either. Starving your body can make your hair fall out, your skin ashy and dry, and again, your body loose and flabby because you don't have muscle.

If you want to lose weight and actually keep that weight off, to improve your looks and your health, you need to find a plan that is sustainable. That means eating a reasonable number of healthy calories, getting some exercise, and sticking with that. Sure, the results won't be as fast. But they'll be more likely to be permanent, and won't ruin your health, hair, hormones, and etc since you'll be getting good nutrition.

I hope you'll stick around, and I hope you'll decide to find a sustainable plan. Starvation diets aren't something that we support, but there are lots of healthy plans to choose from that you're welcome to discuss here.

Keep posting!
