Default 3rd day of binge, SOS!!

So here I am on day 3 of an epic binge, no food off limits. I have eaten so many cals its unreal. Real extreme eating.

How can I snap out of this? I need to get refocus? This morning I wanted today to be different but one chocolate has started another avalanche!

Please send words of encouragement.....I am so frustrated, hacked off and I feel so much pressure at the thought of getting back to the gym/eating right. Why?!

Plus I need to break the sugar cravings?!

Sorry for the post, any words of encouragement. I am just hanging on and I want to get back.

Hi 176, believe me when I say I totally understand your frustration. I went through the same thing 3 days back.
First of all push your self to go to the gym however difficult it might seem right now. You will certainly thank yourself later for that because it woo boost your confidence.
Secondly, eating one chocolate in the morning doesn't mean that you have to wait till tomorrow to start your plan. The key thing is that you should start your plan from NOW and forget about yesterday or even this morning.

I know it is very hard some times to sustain our efforts but we have to go on for the sake of our health.

Lots and lots of hugs to you.

I feel your pain. My binge started Wed. at dinner, I let myself get too hungry then just went out of control and yesterday ate so much it was just sick. Today so far so good. We can stop this, we really can. Usually once i am in a all day binge cycle it is hard to stop midday, tell yourself that tomorrow you will not binge that you want to feel good, not crappy for eating to much, that you can do this! There is hope we can break free from the control food has over us. This might sound strange but I have started to say outloud 'food you will not control my life anymore' it is strange when we say things outloud the power in the words. I will say a little prayer for you and hope you can get back on track.

We all have slips, STOP, just tell yourself that! It won't help yourself to beat yourself up for the past few days, it may make it worse. WE HAVE TO START FROM WHERE WE ARE, we can't go back and change our choices.

SO, tell yourself, I fell down and now I have to pick myself up, clean the cuts and scrapes and continue on my journey. You reached out for help and that was the first step, now just take one more step until you're back on track.

Once you get things under control, try to figure out what happened to start the binge . . . (it might help prevent or shorten other/future binges)

Move more, eat less

thank you, really I mean it...

I think I need to hit the gym tomorrow am, spinning at 10.30. That will get me into a positive frame of mind and they day should be easier.

Its hard to fathom, you binge on day 1 and hate yourself. Feel terrible but then somehow day 2 and 3 happen. More feelings of disgust and dispair. Hard to understand. Reasons for binge.....hmmm, its been that kind of week. Work, weather, no exercise, no proper food shopping, uni essayto write, tiredness etc. All excuses but hey thats the way its panned out. Now I need to break free from this cycle of doom and pick myself up. So healthy breakfast, then spin at 10.30.....game on!

Been there, done that. If you can get to the gym, that would be a great start to getting back on track. If you're like me, you might have to ease back into it, with the first step being to just stop eating the bad food and getting control of your eating. Like others have said, it doesn't matter what happened yesterday or even five minutes ago. You know you can do this.

Yep we have all been there. I love love looove sweets too. I have to be very careful- all it takes is a little and that triggers a binge. My husband and I walked into the store the other night and the first thing I saw was giant sugar cookies...the kind with the frosting in colors. I went weak in the knees. I had to look away. I can't look at it. My husband said, "COOKIES!!" I said no. You can come back with out me and get them and eat them in the car- but they are not coming home with us!
I can't have any tempting food in the house. My husband (who is not overweight) is free to eat anything he wants- away from my sight. I keep salty treats for him- I have never cared for salty I'm a sweetie freak. So these do not cause a problem with me.
The best advice I can give is if there is sweets or other problem foods in your home either give them away or throw them away. Have lots of fruit choices on hand for snacks.
When those sweet cravings hit me I have found a few little things that help me make it through... I love grape juice. Welches makes a light grape juice now. A whole 8 oz. glass is not very high in calories. I can pour me a cold one and sit and sip and take my time drinking it. When I am done I feel better. Like I have had something sweet. Another thing is a hot drink- coffee, tea, 100 calorie cappuccino. That makes me feel better and helps me make it through until dinner.
Keep a journal. Keep the date and each weigh in recorded. Take your measurements. You will see your weight go down and the inches too- that is the best motivation.
Keep up the good work at the gym-

The recovery has started, healthy food and been to the gym. No more junk in the house. Plus I have planned out my meals for the next week.

I had a blip (a major one!) but I know I can do this.

I cant' keep derailing my efforts to be fit and athletic. Onwards.

Congratulations for picking yourself up! Feel better? That's an accomplishment in itself. Did you get to the gym? Exercise is nature's own little happy pill.

It WILL get easier....

too right I feel better. The more time between now and the binge the better, Its hard to believe that I could binge on day 1 and keep going for 2 days. Weird and destructive but over and done with. Its like I was under a spell.

I will keep going to the gym, its a must!
