Default I'm alive.... but apparently I've been insane

For the past 6 months!

HI ALL!!!! Long time no chat! I've missed you all and thought about you often! Around August things got crazy busy at work and didn't allow for me to be on the boards as much so I kind of fell off the face of the Earth.

How have my favorites been?!!?!?!? [Hi to the newer folks!]

I am "happy" to report that I've done a pretty decent job of maintaining but haven't really lost (not so happy about that part).

I did have an A-HA moment yesterday though. My eating has been crappy, but my working out has been good enough for me to maintain. I was really struggling with being burnt out on a healthier lifestyle and not seeing the weight come off...this is where the insanity kicked in. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.

I cannot eat decently during the week, have decent work outs then BLOW IT ALL on the weekend and EXPECT to lose like I was. Apparently all the beer destroyed that brain cell for a while. I was burnt out because I wasn't seeing any results which in turn made me lose motivation and I just didn't want to do anything.

Anyway, I'm gonna stick around here again for a while. I've SO missed the accountability!!!!!

UPDATE ME on how all of you are!!!!

Plateauing...dammit.

I re-joined weight watchers because I think the problem is that I need to focus on fat and protein. Still on calories, but if something is high fat, its not going to be low calories, and I know watching fat has worked for Haley, so yeah.

That and the semester is almost over, and I have a 3 week break until my next class starts, and I'm SOOOO excited for the free time.

Are you going to know what to do with yourself for 3 weeks?!

I saw that you rejoined WW on your blog. How are you liking the new points plus system?

Hi Krampus! Nice to meet you and THANK YOU!!!! The ink on my chest is by far my fav!

Yeah apparently that doesn't work too well! LOL I weighed last week and I was at 182, but TBH I'm kind of afriad to step back on the scale. My birthday was on the 14th of Nov and it's been DOWNHILL from there so I'm scared to see how much I've put on.... but I don't think I magically gained 10 lbs in a week. If I did we have SERIOUS issues. I've been bouncing between 176-185 since MAY of this year practically. SUCKS, but then again, what do I really expect?

Ha. No...that's going to be a problem and my current therapy assignment - socialize more.

Last year when I had my break I worked out a lot. So maybe I'll do that. I have to start training for that triathlon, so no time but the present?

I like the new system MUCH better. It really forces you to make good food choices, not just low-cal/high fiber foods. I'm still sort of tracking calories, and I'm eating a little more, but its just more fruits and veggies, so I'm not worried about it. We'll see if there's a loss next Tuesday (or the Tuesday after that, b/c I have TOM right now and I'm so bloated I could squeeze the water out of my damn thighs).

BTW Stella - saw what you said in the weekly chat about needed a workout buddy to try a class. I have the SAME problem. I'm super chicken about going into a class I know nothing about and trying it all by myself.

As far as socialize more, I think you can do it.

Like, I've been to Body Pump, and I know enough of the women who go to not be shy, but Zumba its a whole other group of people. I'm like I DON'T KNOW YOU...YOU HAVEN'T SEEN ME FALL OFF OF A SPIN BIKE...I DON'T TRUST YOU.

Well i rejoin WW , change my goal weight to 115 , my scale have not been moving for around 3 months so I hope this WW change help me , to get going.
Still trying to be the Hot mama .... you should see me in my black dress.

Yay Feral's back!!!

Not much to report over here - just trying to drag my lazy @$$ back onto the wagon after the longest, most stressful summer of my life (mostly good stress, but definitely not enough time to focus on exercise/eating healthy).

At least we're both maintaining!

God I missed everyone

I've been busy trying to re-open my etsy shop - FINALLY selling my knits And I started a new blog over the summer, which doesn't really talk about my weight loss at all, but it does have my art and what-not on there. And fun, crafty projects OH, and I'm learning how to play the ukulele !

Welcome Back Feral!!! We've missed you!

Things are good here! Still losing. I switched from South Beach to calorie counting in October because I needed to mix things up. I also have been doing P90X. I've completed 45 days so I'm halfway there!!!

Haha, married life is awesome! Although, not significantly different than the rest of the 8 years we've been together... It is pretty cool to get to say "wife" and "husband" though, even if the name change process has been a b!
