Default We have plenty of 'worst fears', lemme know the things you're looking forward to!

So, I got really down after reading the 'worst fears' thread.

I need a pick me up.

So, I challenge you to post something you look forward to about hitting your goal or even just sticking with your journey.

If you posted in the other thread, try and post a positive 'looking forward to...' for each fear you listed, here's mine:

* I have been at it 36 days. I feel great, and I know as I progress I'll only feel better
* I have fibromyalgia and my pain is getting more tolerable with every lb I lose and every day that I challenge my body, I can't wait for even just...the next few months!
* I look forward to running! (waiting till I hit 240, until then, doing other exercise)
* I look forward to fitting into this HOTT red shirt I have that hasn't fit since I was 190 lbs in 2004
* I look forward to that HOTT shirt being too big!
* I look forward to my blood work getting steadily better the healthier I become
* I look forward to the day I don't obsess worrying if I have diabetes and will die in pieces like my real dad did.
* I look forward to becoming a new version of me. I have never been a normal weight in my adult life and I have no idea who that person is, and I can not WAIT to meet her.

GO!
*Most of all, I have the same fears you all do, but more than any of those fears, I am looking forward to surprising myself.

^Awesome thread, and it sounds HOTT! I love positive thinking! Needing this thread today.

*I look forward to not having to go on cholesterol medication when my doctor sees me in a few weeks (my three months is up).
*I look forward to getting my BMI into the overweight, and then healthy stage.
*I look foward to increasing my running speed or distance each week.
*I look forward to fitting into a few smaller sizes in the near future.
*I look forward to getting my pictures taken and feeling great about it.

Oh there is so much I'm looking forward to... honestly I can't wait for:

* being able to run a mile without being out of breath after 1/4 of the way there
* cute little hot shorts!
* no more double chin/rolls/other embarrassments on photos of me
* back/thighs/stomach tattoos!
* shopping ANYWHERE without stressing about not finding my size
* my first bikini [gasp!]

And I have been overweight all my life so I really really really look forward to seeing what my body is supposed to look like underneath all this, and meet the body I've been hiding all along. It's exciting!

Oh, wow, there are a ton of 'em I could list.

I am looking forward to:

- fitting into more stylish clothes, both vintage and modern
- being able to go anywhere I like without considering whether there'll be a bench handy to rest my fat butt
- drawing admiring looks again (I'm married, not dead, and I admit it-- I still love to get an appreciative double-take once in a while!)
- going to a Saints game or the zoo or somewhere else that involves lots of walking and doing so with ease

Then there are the things that I already notice after only a month and a few days (lottie63, I think we must've started on almost the same day!):

- I already look better in my clothes
- I have more energy; cooking for T-day this year was a breeze compared to last year
- When I started, I could only do 5 minutes on our exercise bike; now I'm riding half an hour a day
- my husband is very appreciative of all my extra energy and self-confidence
- Every pound I lose takes me another step away from the slippery slope of worsening health; even a dozen pounds has made a difference I can feel
- I relish the challenges that my new way of life presents to me; how I handle things like holiday dinners or dining out are now a source of pride, not guilt
- my pedicure looks much nicer now that I can reach my toes a little more easily
- to my vast surprise, I've found that I like some kinds of exercise; walking and lifting weights improve both my mood and my health.
- I really enjoy the community here and wouldn't have found it if I weren't actively seeking a more curvaceous and less spherical shape.

I'm looking forward to...

- seeing what my new body will look like!
- definitely new clothes.
- shocking my doctor with my weight loss.

But most of all, I really really really
look forward to wearing my fiancé's big
shirts! He's well-built, 190 lbs, and his
shirts are so big on me now, and it's
really comfy. I can't wait.

I am looking forward to buying clothes in the regular section of a store and not the plus size.
I am looking forward to going taking the kids to the waterslides next summer and joining in on the fun.
I am looking forward to proving to myself that I can do this once and for all!

having a better sex life with hubby, not that it's bad.. but I remember when it was much more fun

I am looking forward to there not being ONE thing I can't do because of my weight. Any booth at any restaurant, taking my daughter horse-back riding, getting on an airplane and not remotely worrying if the seatbelt will fit, sitting in someone's rickety porch chair and knowing that if I break it, it ain't because I'm too heavy! Riding any ride I want at an amusement park, canoeing, RUNNING in the 1 mile turkey run at my daughter's school next year. Knowing if I die tomorrow, it's not because of my awful habits and self-induced bad health.

I look forward to:

*Feeling attractive.
*My husband being able to pick me up.
*Seeing before and after pictures and now being able to recognize myself.
*Being able to work out for longer than 45 minutes.
*Not being worried about having to get on an airplane.
*Riding a roller coaster and now worrying that I just waited in line FOREVER just to not be able to fit in the seat.
*Being able to sit in those chairs that come in bags (the one where you pull it apart to make the seat. . . the cloth ones with the metal bars) and not worrying that I am going to break or bend the things.
*To the feeling of accomplishment I will feel when I only have to maintain, not lose.
