Default I Got Spanked on the Highway

I should be doing work... but I am having a hard time focusing. I was rear-ended on the way home from work yesterday. We were in the left hand lane and traffic came to an abrupt stop. The guy behind me clipped my back, driver's side corner, which sent me sliding into a tractor trailor truck. I bounced of the trailer and then there was some spinning and I slid across the diamond lane.

So... my car is smashed up nice and good. (I am totally fine, btw. I broke a nail and bruised my finger a little.) I got home last night and I just wanted to start eating and eating. But I knew it wouldn't make me feel better. I knew it wouldn't fix my car. I had frozen pizza for dinner... not the healthiest option - but I get those little Celeste pizzas, so it is portion controlled. Then pop corn for snack. (And two brandy and hot cider's - which def. put me over my calories, but was much needed since I wanted to sleep)

Luckily, my breakfast/snack/lunch habits have become ingrained enough that I just packed my lunch this morning without much thought. But I have to admit... all I want to do is go to the cafeteria and get a chicken quesedilla with salsa and sour cream... mmmm... comfort food.

But it will not fix my car. It will not calm my nerves (right?)

Thank goodness it's just your car and not you that got "smashed up nice and good." You're right that eating poorly will not fix anything, so keep up your strength and move on!

Than God you are OK. I know how you feel, I was in a car accident this summer.I believe ice cream helped to calm my nerves.

A similar thing happened to hubs to be on Monday.

He is thankfully ok too. I wanted to eat all the way to the accident site. LOL

Thank goodness you are ok.

But no, it will not fix your car or your nerves.

Lol!!

I ended up getting a salad at the salad bar (regular dressing) but my hubby was able to join me and it was nice to sit with him for a bit!

Goodness, glad you are ok!!

Way to go on the eating, you are right it surely won't fix your car and it won't help your nerves either in fact, it may make them worse later!
