Default Anyone have a good homemade salad dressing?

Want to try my hand at making a salad dressing. I got a new ninja blender and want to experiment.

Ninja!

I have one! It is my baby.

I have used it to make a VERY lite ranch. I use soft silken tofu, add lite soymilk (unflavored) to make the low cal/low fat creamy base for the ranch and add a hidden valley ranch packet.

yah for the ninja! I'm really impressed so far. I had my heart set on blendtec, but couldn't justify the cost. This seems to blend everything just as well.

Anyone else have any salad dressing recipes?

Oooh, I have tons of good salad dressing recipes, but not a single one is what I would call 'light'. Delicious, unprocessed, no preservatives... But not low calorie. If you'd still like some of those recipes I'd be happy to pass them on.

One great low calorie dressing you may try, seriously, is squeezing the juice of one mandarin orange over your salad. It gives a ton of flavor for less than 10 calories.

Balsamic vinegar
Olive Oil
fresh minced garlic
Dijon mustard
soy sauce
honey
salt and pepper

It's yummy. I use three times as much vinegar to oil, a dash of soy sauce, about 2 tsp. honey and mustard, and one clove of garlic.
