Default I feel like I'm failing

I don't want to get a gym membership (lack of funds plus I know I won't really go.) I'm currently living with my my aunt and cousin who are home 24/7 at least my cousin is and working out in front of him on DVD is a little embarassing...I was doing a walk and jog thing for a few days before work but now we've had serve snow storms and the roads and the side walks are cover in snow...

I also work 2pm to 10 pm and when I get home I'm hungry and have had a tendancy to eat after 10pm...Also due to living with my relatives they don't buy any healthy food, they live off of pasta, peanut butter and bread. I did some grocery shopping last week to finally encorp some meat into my diet, but as usual we've run out of food (because feeding someone who is home 24/7 who eats EVERYTHING) becomes a little impossible to keep things around the house.

So the point is I'm slightly frusterated, I feel fat and ugly and I'm at a damn stand still with my weight! I'm not gaining, I'm not dropping it's just stuck, and it's been stuck for months! I move into my own place at the end of the month which is two weeks away...

What is you guys do when you find yourself over eatting, have no motivation to work out, and all you have around the house is crap. (not to mention my best time to workout is in the afternoon. But on the good note I am getting day shifts in a few weeks 6-2...but this snow...) What kind of activities can I do outside in the snow? I'm not worried about the cold weather or anything.

I also live in Canada.... I picked up a pair of skates..... the cost of going to the arena is cheaper than working out and you get a heck of a work out also.... as for the glutton in you mist..... get your self a cooler and keep it in your room... and put a lock on your door. like you said you are moving soon ... or I hope you might be... I also live with a "family" my own who eat "normal" meals while i eat the Atkins way.... it isn't hard once you put your mind to it...

GOOD LUCK

Tie a knot in the end of your rope and hang on! Better days are coming!

As far as exercise, get out and do some, you'll feel better. Winter exercise, guessing you have tons of snow, snow shoe, cross country ski, skate, sledding, ya gotta pull the sled back up the hill ya know!

The one motto that has helped me maintain and keep on keepin on even when I thought I couldn't go anymore is "NO EXCUSES". Re-read what you said. If you feel any of that is an excuse, go back and make it not one.

I live in Canada too and I'm feeling so frustrated with the cold weather. I really hate being cold and there's not enough snow yet to really go sledding or anything (not that I would want to do that 5 days a week anyways). I miss going running and I can't figure out how to keep quick, easy, cheap activity. I feel your pain. Keep trying though. That's what I keep telling myself.

i like what goal130 said. plus you should keep your walk jogs outside. running or walking in the snow will actually burn more calories since it's harder! just make sure you're dressed up properly!

you could also do your workouts in your room. no one says you have to do it in your living room in front of an audience. pop your dvd in your computer instead of dvd player, and you're all set!
