Trying to get back in the New York groove!
Hello my name is misti, and im a 29 year old from nyc. I used to be *very* active, working out 6 days a week (3 of them taking 2hr Capoeira classes). Almost 3 years ago my boyfriend, who was also in the class and was my personal trainer (he became a trainer after i met him), cheated on me and we had a nasty break up. He then made my life there unbearable. I managed to stick it out for a few months after, but it was increasingly difficult. That, along with a huge pay cut and a car accident side lined me from there for good. I’m dying to go back and train. It really was the best class in the city. I know this because before I was hurt, I was fishing around for other classes.
Im *almost* fully healed from the accident (muscle sprains don’t wanna go away) and have been trying to get back to fighting shape since july. I train with a friend, but am on his schedule (he works nights and is on call a lot). Im looking for people to talk with and tips of things I can do on my own. I hoping I can find that kind of support here.
