Hey all! =)
Hey everyone. I'm CurvvyGurl91 aka Curvvy. I'm a total newbie; This is my first time being a member of a forum in general, let alone a weight loss forum. But I like the way this one is set up, and after reading a few threads I think I'll really like being here. =)
So here's me: I'm newly 19, living in the Charlotte area of North Carolina for the past 6 years, originally from the Bay Area of California. I'm 5'3" with a medium-to-small frame, with my record highest weight having been 275. I knew when I hit that number for the first and only time that this was not the life that I wanted, and that things had to change. That was 3 months ago, and since then I have been maintaining in the high 250's/low 260's. Now it's time to really start dropping these pounds.
My UGW is 128... I think. Honestly, I don't even really know what that looks/feels like, but I do know it's within my calculated healthy weight scale and it sounds like a good number to me, lol. My first mini goal is to get back to 250.0 by Thanksgiving... pray for me! lol. After that, I want to be 225 (or lower) by Valentine's Day. As for bigger milestones, (if I can continue on making regular progress) I would love to be a first-time-since-puberty resident of Onederland by May, 150 by my 20th birthday (Oct. 16), and my goal weight by New Years Day of 2012!
I will admit, I've got a few factors hindering me (compulsions, depression/easily discouraged, no money, no car of my own, mother who doesn't truly want to lose weight who buys the groceries, etc.), but I am really determined to overcome these things once and for all. And I think, with the help of people who are also trying to change, I can really do it this time. This won't be the last you see of me!
