Default Hi, Need some advice

I am 22 year old Male. I am about 5 feet 11 and 215 pounds. I have a pretty nice gut and upon going to the doctors office im consideredobese and have high blood pressure.

I haven't exercised (meaning being at a fitness center) since high school but have played softball, hockey and pickup basketball games since.

How would you guys reccomend me starting back up to exercise? Start out on a bike? treadmill? Or what would help me lose weight the most effective? Or maybe situps, jump rope etc etc

I am going to try and replace the mcdonalds, burger king and taco bells with Subway since with my job it requires quite a bit of going out to eat. Yeh i no they all have low fat menus but my eyes always wondered to the combo meals. I have already replaced the mountain dews, pepsies, with sprite zero (love that stuff) and water.

Ive heard a lot about pills and how none of them are prven to work but if you guys had any advice about pills that woudl be greatly appreciated too.

What about P90x? I hear that is quite effective but mite not have the dvd at all times since my job (damn job haha) is always traveling.

Another thing is I love to drink alcohol. Im from North Dakota so a lot of which we do is drink. I usually drink thursday (5-6 drinks) Friday (10+) and saturday (10+) also.

Thanks again for any and all the advice! Will post before pics shortly

I think the most effective weightloss exercises are the ones that you will do. I have P90X honestly I have done it once(I don't really get motivated at my house so I have to go to the gym) but I have know quiet a few people that have done it and lost a good amount of weight or just shaped up. In my husbands unit they do it for pt from time to time and he is always extremely sore after(on a normal day they run 4+ miles or do muscle failure).

you are already on a good start. Cut the booze! That will pack the weight on quick, especially in your belly. Just start researching where you eat and get the best of the bunch if you cannot pack your own. Also, when you travel do the hotels have gyms (a lot of them do) if so jump on a treadmill or something. Or swim some laps in the hotel pool. Take a walk. Although in North Dakota a walk may be out of the question this time of year.

I LOVE P90X! I can only make it all the way through the Cardio video, but it's a lot of fun, and it makes me feel GREAT! Oh, and do you have any idea how many calories alcohol has in it? :P
