Default hello from a new member...
Hello everyone!

I am new to this site but not new to weight loss. I started my weight loss journey in February 2010. My start weight was around 173-175! I often look back to pictures of myself at this weight and wonder how I came to allow this weight for so long. I am currently 121 pounds and striving to reach 118. It took me a long time to realize that I was trapping myself from doing things I wouldn't do at a heavier weight. I really enjoy going to try on jeans and fitting into size 2 and 0 with ease. It has been a really tough road...and will always be a constant struggle...but it can be done. I wish everyone luck with persistence, will power, better choice making, and above all the ability to forgive yourself and start over.

Hello. My name is Judy. I am a new member to this site. I have been on prednasone for the last year. I have been diagnosed with a disease called Sarcoidosis. I have been holding firm at my current weight but would really like to lose. I have been trying to lose weight but the point system I am currently using does not seem to help. Any suggestions?

Hi Demi and welcome to 3fc. Congratulations on all your success! What a difference in clothes shopping once the weight comews off, eh? :-)

Hi Judy and welcome to 3fc. Prednisone is the gold standard anti inflammatory because it works so well. Unfortunately, the side effects are nasty. Any weight gain - which is usually inevitable - is lost with hard work. Please ensure you don't stop taking it without consulting your physician.
If the point system isn't working for you, I suggest you check out this site for other weight loss ideas and suppport. If one doesn't work don';t give up. Try another one. Good luck!
