Default Hi everyone.

I would like to know what the item was that Dr. Oz talked about that made food taste better? I think it might have been a Japenese name I am not sure. He called it "ma mi" "mi maw" What the heck was that stuff? Clarks nutrition didnt know either. Guess I wasnt saying it right?? I hope someone here saw that show and knows what this was. Please help.
It was a good program that day, but I keep forgetting the name of the item.
Also, I hope to learn a lot from this group as I try to lose about 100 pounds.
Thanks in advance and have a GREAT Day!

Edamame?
I don't think it makes food taste good but it is fun to eat and high in protein.

Didn't see the show- just trying to help.

I just called Clarks Nutrition. The never heard of it! wont order it!
From the info I have been learning now on the internet(wikipedia) and the local oriental market. UMami is not msg but it has the same glutamates. The local oriental store has a mushroom seasoning that has no msg but they call it umami. well, I have learned a lot today.
Thanks stacygee. I am checking out edamame too. I have lots to learn it is a different food product. thanks so much.
have a Great Day!!
