I'm a 32 year old male. I weigh 260lbs and I'm 6'1" tall.
I've joined because I am looking for a good support group of people to help me on my path to weight loss.
I think I need to start with some education. I don't know much about what is healthy and what is not, in regards to food. I've been cutting out junk foods and eating less. I lost about 20lbs four years ago when I cut out soda, but haven't lost that much since then.
I'm also looking to learn more about exercise. I've been doing yoga in the mornings for about a month. I'm also interested in the P90X.
I like what I've seen of the P90X, I like that it's a total body workout and I don't need much equipment. However I think I need to get started with something simpler before I move onto the P90X. That's why I've been doing the yoga.
With the yoga I can see my progress. I'm more flexible now than when I started.
Hello everyone,
My name is Lisa. I hope to learn from others in this forum and contribute what I know about healthy weight loss. Hope to hear from you soon!
Good morning, EyePatch, and welcome to 3FC. It's always nice to have another male in the group. You'll find a bunch of us spread around on the different forums and threads.
If you search about, you're certain to find a group, or so, that fit your style.
Do you have an eating plan and an exercise plan yet?
Hi BillBlueEyes, no I don't have a plan yet for diet or exercise. I started another thread (in the diet forum, it won't let me post a link) asking for advice on which diet to choose. There are so many I don't know where to begin. I'm leaning towards low-carb.
I've been doing yoga in the mornings for about a month or so. I'd like to keep it up and add something else. I like the idea of something simple like jogging, but P90X is also interesting to me.
