Newbie here

  • A little about me... I've lost 20 pounds so far, and am ANXIOUS to get out of the 200s! I'm the mother of 4, oldest 13--youngest 3. I'm a military wife whose hubby is deployed. And finally .. totally dedicated to this whole WEIGHT LOSS journey!!!!! Hope to hear from y'all!!

  • Ok here's me hitting you! Haha. I'd love someone to talk to. What's your "diet" (hate that word).
  • Right now.....I'm walking/jogging 2-3 (sometimes more) times a week, doing workout videos at home....P90X videos I have and yoga about 5 times a week, and really watching what I eat.

    No more eating out...soda....or junk food.

    And trying so hard with portion control.

    What about you??
  • Good luck to you. I find this site to be very inspirational, especially when I read about the journeys that members have taken to meet their goals. It really helps me keep on even if my loss seems slow.
  • I'm walking, and pretty much calorie counting. I allow myself my pms week off though, unless it's a mild week. I do alot of like lean cuisine's or whatever is on sale in the frozen food dept. I have a major, MAJOR sweet tooth that really tries to take control....
  • I totally get that QD! I was on this site a LONG time ago and loved it then. I'm so excited to be back. I came across it by accident too. I typed in "weight loss avatars" and this was the first site that came up and I was like "oh yeah".......
  • My friend loves her lean cuisine's!! She tells me about them all the time.

    I usually go for a salad for lunch.

    As far as cheat days....I have one a week. Usually football Sunday's.

    My PMS week wasn't as bad as I thought it would be....although, my husband did wake me up in the middle of the night, and I was munching on his bag of reeses pieces that he didn't put up. Apparently I found them and was snacking in my sleep. lol
  • I forgot to mention....

    I have a major sweet tooth as well....carnation instant breakfast, strawberries and grapes usually satisfies it.
  • I usually eat like a fiber one bar (chocolate of some sort) as a reward at the end of the day. I have to be careful with those though, cause they're like candy bars, they're so good. I could easily polish off the whole box in one sitting...which would obviously defeat the whole point of why I was even eating one to begin with....
