Welcome aboard GiGirl! I'm so sorry you're feeling so lost. Can you give some more info about yourself? What are your goals (other than the obvious)? What have you been doing? Counting calories? Southbeach? There are lots of groups here doing similar things. I'm a calorie counter personally. It sounds like a lot of work, but it's totally great and worth it. I don't think it matters which program you choose....as long as it's something you can do for life. Sometimes, it takes a while to be "motivated," so don't wait for that to come. Make a decision and stick to it. Find ways to fine tune your diet. Maybe you could post what you eat in a typical day and people here can help you do that. There's tons of support. I really hope you feel more excited soon. This can actually be a very exciting journey!

Hi GiGirl........welcome to 3fc. I decided about a month ago to give up carbs. I cut out breads of all kinds, rice & potatoes. The first couple of days were tough as well as when I was premenstrual. I was quite antsy with cravings for junk food, but now I'm pretty content. This is partly due to feelings of success with each pound lost and partly due to finding tips & recipes on this site.
Visit this site every day for a dose of support & resolve. You can do it Girl! Good luck.
Welcome, glad to have you join us. I suggest you look for a Support Group or Challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one that inspires you or fits your needs, and just post to join.
I know how you feel, I feel like eating things I am not supposed to all the time but remember it is all a progress. Nothing is truly forbidden as long as you recognize different types of food for what they are. Treats are just that, treats. So rather than looking at it as cheating, wait until you have reached a goal and reward yourself.
