Default Turkey burgers?

At a restaurant I ordered a turkey burger patty and found mixed calorie counts. One said like 400 cals one said 150. It was a 6 oz patty, what do you think is the most accurate count? I know it depends on how lean the meat is but just the average I guess?

So it was Jenny O and said 2 oz is 50 calories so a 6 oz patty would be 150?! Too good to be?! Its the restaurant I work in and we also have turkey breast so maybe I looked at the wrong package?!

150 sounds reasonable for just a patty if its excluding anything it's cooked in or added on top. Obviously if it's fried in grease it would go up a chunk.

I wouldn't base it just on the amount of turkey, it also will depend on what they use in it to make it a patty (egg, breadcrumbs, salt, seasonings, etc). I know Ruby Tuesday's has a turkey burger that's really high in calories. I would wager that the one you had is more than the 150 calories.

So I went into the kitchen and looked again and asked which it was, I think the meat said 170 calories for 4 oz. Here is a picture of the burger I had. I had half, so I think 150 is safe to bet, it wasnt greasy, very dry actually. Casue if it was 170 calories for 4 oz and it was a 6-8 oz burger, 150 would be enough, dont you think?

When I make turkey burgers at home it is 160 cals for 4 oz, so your 6 oz burger would have approximately 240 cals. Also, it looks like it was grilled so hopefully there wouldn't be any cooking oil or anything added. If you only ate half, I think 150 cals is a pretty safe estimate!
