Any suggestions for how to eat while marathon training?
I am starting my marathon training tomorrow. I am starting very slowly, and am giving myself 6 months. While I don't technically "exercise" I am very active, and ready to start running again. I did a marathon 2 years ago, and I was about 170 pounds. I am now about 190. Last time I did NOT do it the healthy way. I "trained" in about 3 months, and didn't enjoy the marathon as I would have if I gave myself more time. This time, I want to eat healthy, and enjoy running like I used to. I used to be a competitive cross country runner. Anyway, I still plan on losing weight, so any idea what to put my calories at each day? Tomorrow I'm starting at just 2 miles.
