Default Best way to test body fat?

I don't know if this is the right forum for this, but I wanted your opinions on the best DIY way to estimate body fat percentage. I tried a couple of online calculators, but the results were fairly different. For those who are using this as a measuring stick, what BF% are you aiming for and how did you decide to measure it?

Thanks.

When it comes to DIY BF% measurements none are accurate. You can get a personal trainer to do it with calipers, but they must know what they're doing and always use the same spots every time they measure. The only accurate one is the water weight test and that is done in a special pool and is very expensive.

Sorry I'm not much help

sometimes visual estimations can be more accurate than DIY methods. Check out this article

Thanks for the replies. I guess I'll just pick a method, know it is inaccurate, but use it to monitor my progress (and hopefully show a decrease). Using the pictures as a guide, I'm guessing my original measurement of 23-28% is probably not too far off. Lots of tummy, thigh & hip flab still hanging around .
