Hello from Texas

  • Hi,
    Found your blog this morning and i am hoping like minds will help me lose the weight! I am a mom of 3, grandma of 1; had a work accident 15 years ago that started the pounds packing on. Still have trouble with the left leg, so any guidance in how to work out without over taxing the left knee/ankle would be greatly appreciated. Currently just walking daily and stretching.
    Just turned 50 in March and feel the hormones are against me too!!

    Really want to lose at least 30 pounds, ultimate goal would be 60 pounds.
    Look forward to getting to chat with people, i can already tell the positive threads are going to help keep me on track and motivated.

  • Welcome. I suggest you look for a Support Group or Challenge to join; a small group of friends to help keep you motivated, find one that inspires you or fits your needs, and just post to join.

  • http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/ This is the 'outline' of Chicks so to speak, most of the 'groups' are listed under Support Forums, but look for groups in the sub-forums also. Pretty much they are everywhere, its just a matter of finding an area that suits you and your interests, such as the 50+ group?

    You mentioned an old injury so you might look for some help in the Dieting with Obstacles thread. I think I've seen a Physical Challenges group??? http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/diet...er-thread.html hope that helps.
