Unhappy Have you seen my mojo?

Gah. I feel like someone has stolen my mojo. I think I may have to put up some lost posters, In hopes it returns. My Boyfriend Deployed a couple weeks ago and won't be home until November. I know its not very long, But I think maybe my mojo left with him. Before he left I was going to the gym 4-5 times a week, eating healthy and was always doing something. Now, I sit at home and do nothing or I sleep all day. I also was laid off in May and haven't worked since. Ive looked for a job, but still nothing. I feel like a loser.

Im having a pity party. I just want to be out of this rut so bad. Im usually so pumped about everything. Gah.

thanks for listening

I notice you are in a "Biggest Loser" challenge. I suggest using this time of no employment or boyfriend present to design yourself your own BL Ranch schedule. You are in a unique position to be able to devote yourself to your weight loss project.

2phat - your mojo and my mojo must be somewhere having some fabulous margaritas! My fave thing to do to get my mojo back: go look at pictures of myself 50 pounds ago. My second fave thing to do: read the GOAL threads here on 3FC. My third fave: EXERCISE and plan exotically fantastic healthy meals

Hope this helps... oh and if you find my mojo, could you tell it to come home? I'll give it a sidecar of tequila!

My dh deploys for a few months at a time...its not long but its still killer. The first few weeks especially. It wasn't until 1.5 months after he deployed that I got my act together to start working out and getting healthy (of course I wasn't doing any of that stuff prior to deployment). I too wasn't working and it's summer break, so it was a lot of laziness. I have to say though, once you get back to it, it will feel better then ever. My favorite thing now are my few de-stressing hours at the gym where I'm not sitting at home feeling lost and lonely which often used to lead to comfort eating.

My husband is deployed right now to Afghanistan and won't be home until early next year.

I'm using this time to focus on ME so he can home to a hot, healthy wife!

I have a special rewards system that I'm doing. Everyday I have 3 challenges. Diet, Water, and Exercise. (except Saturday which is my rest day from exercise, so I only have the Diet and Water challenge). IF I go the whole day not cheating I get a check in the challenge box. At the end of the week I count up the total number of checks and I get $.50 for each one for a total (if I'm 100% on plan) of $10 a week, which I'm saving to splurge on some new clothes once I get to goal.

Maybe you can come up with a rewards type thing? Or at least something to look forward to each week, maybe a weekly movie with your girlfriends or a weekly trip to the library.

My husband and I don't get to speak often because he is in a place with VERY little communication. I've talked to him probably 8 times max (that's e-mail and phone) in the almost 2 months that he's been gone... it is SO hard and I miss him more than words, but I use my frustration and anger to motivate myself to do good.

Edit:

One last thing I wanted to say. The local community college here has a career center with job postings all around the county. They help people in the community find jobs, fix up their resume, etc... and it's all free. Does yours have something similar?

My mojo has been missing... but I can see it on the horizon if you know what I mean.

Big hugs to all the families serving our country. There are so many on 3FC, I had no idea.
