Default 2nd Trimester Moods

Hi ladies!

Anyone who is in their second trimester, can you help me out? I'm currently 20 weeks and I'm still feeling the emotional mood swings from my first trimester! All of a sudden, i get the urge to cry, or things just irritate me! Does anyone else experience this too? My doctor said it was normal, but I guess I was just hoping my hormones would be better during this time. I don't want to drive daddy to be crazy with my back and forthness.

I don't know if it's normal since this is my first but I can say you're not alone. I'm 17w3d right now & started inexplicably crying this week when I heard the song Soul Sister by Train which has been playing non-stop for months now I also found myself infuriated & irritated very easily with poor hubs this week. I was pretty much all over the map with my emotions during the 1st trimester and had also thought things had leveled off since I've gotten into my 2nd. But this week has proved me wrong.

The only thing that helps me is knowing that I'm being irrational or emotional & letting hubs know that I know it's the hormones. That's definitely helped him not take things personally. And it's helped me take a step back, breathe, and realize that hopefully the storm will pass. Hope this helps. xoxo

Thank you!! Good deal! I started being more consistent with my afternoon walks so I can still get some exercise in. The baby won't let me jog without hurting me, and there isn't really any other activity I like that's physical. The walking seems to help me let off some steam, but I'm just uncontrollable! Have you seen that new iphone commercial where the guy shows his daughter to his dad and the dad (grandpa) says she's beautiful? That one made me CRY LIKE A BABY! I just get crying spells mostly, and my feelings feel like they are over sensitive!

I'm glad I'm not going crazy or alone with this! If you ever need to vent, feel free to! We at least understand each other! Are you showing yet?

Yup, cry every time I see that commercial. However the iphone commercial where the girl tells her husband she's pregnant makes me so mad and I have no idea why. Weird I'm just rolling with the crazy at this point and taking hubby along for the ride.

I've also started trying to get out for a walk a few times a week but we've had a brutally hot summer so far and it's been difficult. However this weekend is supposed to be nice so me & the doggies will probably go wander around the neighborhood & pretend like we're exercising.

This week I've really started to pop and my pants are finally tightening up. Although my weight hasn't changed even though I'm eating plenty all the time. I'm hoping to stay pretty much the same in weight and all the excess weight I have will just form a big belly

Thanks, and anytime you need to vent, you let me know. Enjoy the day! xoxo

I'm not pregnant right now, but with both of my kiddos I was certifiable up until I delivered (okay, and maybe for a few weeks after too!). It's just hormones, they build up during the first trimester and level out in the second and third and take a few weeks (or more) to taper off after you deliver. So it's totally normal. And congrats to you both, you're hitting the halfway point, you're almost there!
