Default Hi There

Hiya,

I'm looking for ideas and support on for my weight loss goals this time. I figure if I keep doing what I am doing I will keep getting what I'm getting. I am GOING to lose weight and need some support. I have been approved fully through my medical insurance for weight loss surgery. I'm not ready for that yet though. I thought I was but when I actually went through the beginning of the program I totally started binging so much I gained an additional ten lbs in two weeks! My emotional eating is out of control. My therapist is not doing it for me either so I am on my own. I have confidence I can do it. I have so much to lose though-about 110 pounds.

I am worried about failing again. I hope I can do it for real this time.

Heya
Welcome to 3FC! Everyone on these forums are really supportive Mom ma so you'll find TONS of people to talk to about EVERYTHING.
About your weight loss goal: try not to think of it as 110 pounds. It's a big number and the more you think about it, the harder it's going to seem. Maybe think about losing 10 pounds first. Just 10. And then another ten. And another. I had 40 to lose and when I first started thinking abotu it I though: thsi is going to take FOREVER. But by cutting it down into 5 pound goals, it seems easier, and I'm motivated everytime I reach that little mini goal of 5 pounds because I can see I'm actually doing it!
I wish you a whole bunch of good luck on your journey!

You CAN do it!! I have a lot to lose, and it is intimidating and seems impossible, but I am setting mini-goals for myself. Plus, think about how good it will feel every time you put on clothes that didn't fit, or someone makes a comment. I've only been doing this 2 weeks, and I'm already fitting into pants that wouldn't fasten last month. It's really encouraging! I'm also going to give myself rewards every time I hit a goal, but I don't know what yet... just that it won't be food
This is the right place for inspiration and support! We CAN do this!!

Welcome, and I know you can do this. Our bodies want to be healthy, they just do and with a little help from some virtual pals it all seems more doable. And it does seem big, 90lbs seemed like a mountain at the beginning, and there's a whole lot of people here who have lost so much more than me. Little bits, baby steps and before you know it, it's gone, and YOU did it.
